Plan for tracting on Monday night
Flow of events:
1900-2000: Campers to wash up and have their dinner after the ECP event.
1930-2000: Prayer for the campers and briefing
2000-2015: Move out to the venue for tracting
2015-2100: Tracting
2100-2115: Gather at pre-determined meeting point
2115-2130: Move back from venue of tracting to church
Instructions for tracting:
1. The campers will be split into pairs. Each pair of campers will be accompanied by either a mentor or an adult helper. In view of the fact that the tracting will be done at night, the younger campers from primary school will be accompanied by older mentors or helpers.
2. The solution to the safety issue as mentioned above is preliminary and suggestions are welcomed as to how to ensure better safety for the campers and helpers during the tracting.
3. During the briefing before moving off, the campers and mentors/helpers will be briefed on the block where they will tract. When we reach the venue, David and Timothy will personally point out the block which the groups have been assigned to. (I welcome better suggestions regarding this point as well)
4. The mentor/helper assigned to each pair must be contactable through HP.
5. After the pairs have completed the tracting, they are to assemble at a pre-determined location and wait for the rest to complete tracting.
6. A problem noted is that there could be some pairs which finish exceptionally fast and would end up waiting awhile. In the mean time, the mentor/helper assigned to that pair could start conducting a brief form of reflections on the experience of tracting that the pair had just gone through.
7. Should there be any encounter with difficult persons during the tracting, the pairs are to remain polite, smile and move on. In the worse case scenario where the person tries to harass them, the assigned mentor/helper is to immediately call either Dness Chai Lang, Dn David, Joseph, Joel, Timothy or David.
8. Do not give out tracts to Malays.
Preparation:
1. The venue will be the blocks at Teban. We will be doing door to door tracting.
2. There is a potential need to call for more adult helpers for this event. As noted below, the highlighted portions reflect the lack of supervision. So far, Dness Chai Lang and Sis Charissa, Joseph and Timothy can take 4 more pairs leaving 3 pairs in need of helpers.
3. Below is a preliminary proposed grouping: (feel free to comment on the pairing)
